What are your roles/responsibilities at Delphi Technologies?
Warranty?returns root cause analysis and troubleshooting, cost improvement ideas/engineering changes, technical reviews, validation, implementation and follow up.
What are your interests and activities outside of work and school?
Soccer and weight?training.
What is one interesting fact about you?
I worked the entire time I was in?university. When I was in fifth semester, I actually had three jobs alongside my classes.?
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now where would you go and why?
Switzerland. Because I believe its weather is amazing and it would be a very relaxing and?peaceful experience. It would be awesome to be there with my family and a great place to think when I feel stressed.
What does your typical day look like?
I usually wake up at 6:30 in the morning and get ready to go to work. In the evenings I like to spend time with my friends/family, going to the movies, shopping, sometimes going for a walk or just chilling out watching sports on TV. After all that, I like to go to the gym around 10 p.m., and then to sleep.
What has been the biggest takeaway from your experience thus far??
Getting to meet or communicate with people all over the globe has been the most remarkable experience. Talking with people from other countries and cultures has been really challenging, yet very exciting.
Where is home for you and how did that shape your upbringing??
Home is wherever my family is. I grew up in a very close family with a strong sense of support and that has made me a very protective man with my beloved ones.
What has been a challenge faced during your internship?
Since I started working at Delphi Technologies, I have worked with four different?supervisors due to promotions in the department and originally planned assignment rotations. It has been a challenge to adapt to each supervisor's?work style, but the outcome has always been positive and I learned a lot from each one of them.
Any tips or advice for future interns??
Always try to do something new, try to learn as many things as possible, talk to everyone and don’t feel ashamed of making mistakes. And never hide your ideas. It doesn’t matter how crazy you think they are, they might go from crazy to great! Always ask as you need to, but never forget to discover things on your own. Be proactive, be curious and always remember that there is always room for improvement.
What’s next for you or your career goals??
Next step on my career is to get an MBA or a Master's in Materials Science.
